Daybreak accepts records from any source.
We authenticate what we can, state what we cannot, and publish the result. We do not pay for records and we do not promise publication.
What we want
Government records. Internal communications. Grant and contract files. Clinical and adverse-event data. Court and regulatory filings. Datasets with documented origin.
What we need from you
Where the record came from and how you obtained it. Whether it has been altered. Whether others hold copies. Your constraints on attribution.
How to send it
Email evidence@daybreakproject.org, or mail physical media to 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801. A PGP key for encrypted email will be published on this page. A secure anonymous drop is planned and not yet available.
Read this before you contact us
We cannot guarantee anonymity. Email and postal mail leave metadata. If your safety or employment depends on not being identified, consult a lawyer before contacting us, and do not use a work device or work account.
We will not share the identity of a source with any party, including public authorities, absent a lawful order, and we will contest orders we believe are improper. We cannot promise to prevail.
Records containing personal data of private individuals that serves no public purpose will be withheld or masked under the takedown and correction policy.
